Things are starting to hot up in Somerset and everyone is getting involved with 2012 and what this can mean for Somerset and the South West. Following the handover of the Olympic Torch in Minehead over the Raft Race weekend, not to mention getting up close to some of our recent stars when the Tour of Britain zoomed through.
This weekend will see the launch of the Cultural Olympiad of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with a huge range of inspirational programmes across the South West for everyone to enjoy.
The Cultural Olympiad will demonstrate that the London 2012 Games are more than a sporting spectacle, as they will celebrate cultures, people and language, from London, the UK and around the world.
There is so much that Somerset is doing to get invloved, I am sure that in the 4 years leading up to 2012 will be an exciting time.
